Early morning. We go down the Lindu river for several hundred meters to set up our basecamp. At 11:30am, the camp is ready and we finally take the first meal of the day all together.
The rest of the day is spent exploring the surroundings and to organize the great descent on Lindu. What arouses our curiosity is particularly large cavity into which the river rushes on almost one kilometer.
While biologists begin to rummage around, bird Anne-Sophie, Aurélien plants and tracks of large mammals for Tanguy, for my part a hop underground with Evrard for recognition of the underground Lindu.
In fact, we follow with light, Evrard, Phil and I, the river disappears underground.
However, the walls are impassable and we decided to put us in the water and swim as far as possible. In fact, just a mere 200 meters to sight and reach the exit.
The underground part is easily passable including boat. This will be another goal for tomorrow to check if the spring portion is navigable to the area that we identified two years earlier.
Exploration is underway!
